Pot melts can be done in a few ways.one way is to support the pot over a heavily kiln washed shelf with stilts. I use regular kiln stilts with a slice of kiln shelf across them. The pot can be washed when new with water and a scrub brush! We like to melt into a stainless steel form with thin fire under it and a piece of glass that fits in the form. Then drip onto it. Makes clean up much easier and no stuck kiln wash! Be sure to read the full tutorials!

Great way to use scrap glass. Line your stainless steel forms with 1/8" fiber paper. Where the ends meet put a small piece of scrap thinfire behind the seam as insurance. Put the form on thinfire or a well kiln washed shelf. Be sure the 1/8" is pushed all the way to the shelf leaving no gaps.
