Luke feels like he can't share his ideas and he is upset. My favourite part of the book is when Luke paints a watermelon; he makes it look 3D and colourful. At the end Mr Barraclough finally sees Luke's way of looking and Luke finally finds his confidence. The illustrations help because they show you how Luke sees things and what he is feeling.
